2nd beach Clean Up and a dip at Ateni Beach
The first clean-up on the beach of Ateni on Saturday 14t May was a great success!
The organization Enaleia in collaboration with the projects Clean Green Andros and Andros Routes, (both Andros Research Center initiatives),and the Municipality of Andros, as part of the Mediterranean Clean Up action, carried out a beach clean at the beautiful beach of Ateni! With the valuable help of volunteers and the fisherman Mr. Giannis Zotalis we managed to collect about a ton of waste, mainly plastic!
In collaboration with the Municipality of Andros and the deputy mayor Dimitris Tiniakos, the plastics collected in all the clean-ups will be taken to a special container in the bay of Korthi and will be recycled by certified recycling agencies.
We now invite you to our second clean-up on the large beach of Ateni, as the huge volume of plastics requires a second visit!

Bring water and your breakfast as well as your swimsuit for a nice dip since the weather is going to be great!
